If you follow me on Instagram or we're pals on Facebook, then you've already seen my good news: we're moving! It was such a meant-to-be, last-minute, out-of-the-blue development that we're still reeling a little bit. Our new place is 10 minutes away from where we live now, so thanks to our rad friends with trucks (LAUREN I'M LOOKING AT YOU) we've already started moving boxes over to the new place.
One of the things I love most about the new place is the garden. I haven't managed to take any real pictures of the property, but here's a quick iPhone photo for you of one side of our front garden:
Our front yard is separated from the street by a lush hedge of something that looks like bamboo but isn't. It needs some love, but all the bones are there: great mature plants, fruit trees, raised vegetable beds, and established flowers. The other side of the garden (opposite this picture) is a cute patio with a table, chairs, umbrella, and barbecue. It's the perfect size for us!
More photos and stories coming soon...and get ready for this: the place has a DISHWASHER. I know, I know. I hope the luxury doesn't change me.
