Festivities of Joy: Christmas Morning

December 25, 2011
This morning I woke up feeling like a little kid. I laid in bed, my body vibrating with excitment and my mind willing Matthew awake. I gave him until 6:15, then I started in.

"MR! It's Christmas! It's light outside! Let's get up!"

"Jessica, it is not light outside. That's a strong street light bouncing off the snow, you psycho. Go back to sleep."

I would not be silenced.

After getting Numi to jump on the bed, and with promises of warm drinks and treats, I had my man.

  1. Looks like a lovely Christmas at the Roy household! The Roy Joy redesign is lovely. Merry Christmas, friend!

  2. Oh Jessica! you SO should have been in snowy, dark, cold ALASKA with this branch of the Roy family tree! Suzanna, Thomas and Dillon were jumping on our bed at 6 am (AK time, an hour earlier than WA time!) stockings in hand, Bible nearly open to Luke for the Christmas narrative that has been part of their Christmas morning since before they were born. Nobody in this house would have told you to go back to sleep! :)
Love your blog and looking forward to reading along with your adventures in 2012!
