Fall is my favorite time of year...Apple Hill, scarves, holiday treats, family, and a few trips too. We are planning on visiting Erik in Spokane in a couple weeks, and there is always the litany of houses to visit for the actual holidays. We are also planning on taking a weekend to explore the Mendocino/Fort Bragg area--a place we've been meaning to visit for years now.
Matthew is going strong with his job at Bear River High School--he loves working with the choral director, and has found that he does in fact know how to deal with high schoolers. Overall, it has been a great experience thus far--and we look forward to what the rest of the school year has in store! He is also working on quite a few new piano pieces, which just get better and better every time I hear them. Between job, music, and his German class, he still finds time to be an amazingly wonderful husband and often welcomes me home with dinner made and a hug.
I am still working at Mercy as the Contact Marketing Coordinator for the department, and am enjoying it for the most part. Late Summer/Fall is our busiest time, so I am feeling pretty stressed as of late, but it has been fun and challenging to work on the events we have scheduled. I really enjoy the people I work with, so that always helps when things get crazy. :) I spend the rest of my free time searching for antiques, properties, or other "free items" on the streets of Roseville (Yes, it's true...I am turning into a mini-Kathy) and watching as much 30 Rock as time will allow.
Numi is busy as ever--he has a strenuous day of eating, drinking (which is more of a big slimy drool fest, that amazingly and most definitely ends up on my work clothes), and then ruling the back yard while his masters are at work. Although we don't really know what he does all day, we can tell by his intense-chainsaw-grinding-old-man-droning snoring that he's done a hard day's work. We have got to get him to sleep somewhere other than under our bed....
We are doing well and seeing what God has in store for us in the future...big thoughts about where to call home, having kids, and Graduate School are just a few (good) things that have been on our hearts these past few months. We are happy people, and for that we are so thankful!
